TODAY IS THE DAY ..

I'm guilty of the above. Regardless of how fantastic our life is RIGHT NOW, I check myself in the mirror and actually think "life would be perfect if I could be skinny''. Silly heh. I see wrinkles appearing where before there was just uncreased skin. Ageing is a constant thing that pays no respect to individual wants.

This little saying is from the My Paradissi blog and I think I may take it up. WHO cares if I am not skinny? I don't like or dislike people by the size of their arse. So what does it matter. So I make this pledge to whoever reads this. I, Linda, will be happy and healthy and enjoy this summer even if my size is not model proportions.

  1. Silly i know - but we all do it!
I reckon as long as you excercise & eat well even if it doesnt turn you into Lara Bingle you'll still feel great! Plus as we all know the boys like a bit of curves AND mine is always ogling women in their 40's (when he has me in my 20's!) if it makes you feel any better! ;) Plus i think your an awesome person & ive never seen' you - thats what counts!

  3. It's human nature, I guess, to always want to something else, somewhere else, have a smaller "arse", etc. By the way, I love the word "arse"!
Really, when you can only change so much, you just have to relax and be happy with yourself and your life. It's taken me a looong time to work this out.
    Have a lovely day!

  4. Yep, it's good to be happy with who we are. As long as you're looking after yourself all's good :) BTW, saw your lovely umbrellas in Jamie Durie's new magazine last night! Pity there was no-one else home for me to say...ooh look, I 'know' her!!

  7. Janis (pineconecamp) .. glad you worked all that out .. I'm still learning (and oh no, did I spell 'arse' wrong - is it meant to be ass???)

Kerry - you were one of the first bloggers I ever talked to .. so it is ME who should be saying I know HER (-:

Eleni - thanks for joining my blog - and for sparking all this chitchat about how we should be happy with who we are now!!

And Trish - my gosh - 4 kinds and you are under 40 AND you have time to run such a beautiful blog. You deserve an award. And glad you can join me in this new way of thinking. I'll email you should I start looking in the mirror too long
